Sundays meeting of #spiritualbookclub was such fun! We spent time exploring concepts around dream interpretation, we talked about things that may have been confusing and had some good snacks! I'm excited to announce that next week's book club book will be by author Alan Watts, "The Book on the Taboo against knowing who you are." (You can find it on YouTube to listen for free!)
The blurb reads:

This month for #spiritualbookclub we are reading "Inner Work" by Robert A. Johnson.
I'm looking forward to checking out this book and practicing the methods described for analyzing dreams and integrating the conscious and unconscious minds.
Our meeting will be Sunday, Feb 8th at The Center for Healing and Integration (Delhi) from 1-3 pm.

If you think you don't know what your souls purpose is, I have some exciting news for you! YOU GET TO DECIDE! Yep, your purpose is up to you and you get to choose what it is! If you are afraid you're going to choose wrong, well you can't! "But Sara, I thought my purpose was this and now I think its that, doesn't that mean I chose wrong?" NOPE! You chose what was right for you at the time and it can absolutely change, even multiple times in your life!
One of the amazing things life and the universe gives us is contrast. Maybe you don't like where you are, wonderful! Now you know you don't like that and can start to move into something new.

The audio book is only about 3.5 hours long so there is still plenty of time to read it before the meeting tomorrow if you're interested!

If you've ever wondered why I named my business Through Love Energy Healing, it's because I believe that every healing starts and ends with love.

When you book a reading or healing session with me you're not gonna be met with judgment. I bring love, compassion, and understanding for where you are and where you've been in your life. Compassion is the Keystone to healing. It's through compassion of self that we learn compassion for others.

Where can you bring more love to yourself in your life? What can more love give you? These are some of the questions that we can find answers to together.

The world around us may feel frightening, It may feel beyond our control or abilities to heal anything. Bringing healing into our life, and into the small realm of the things that we can control creates a ripple effect that goes outward. And this is how we slowly begin to heal society in the planet. With love compassion and understanding for ourselves and one another, we can create the change we want in this world. So let's do some work, together ❤️

Yesterday I was taking some time to fiddle around my garden, and I noticed a plant that I didn't plant coming up in one of the raised beds. I thought it looked familiar but I couldn't quite place it, so I used a plant identification app. Turns out I have surprise pumpkins! I haven't planted pumpkins in a few years but we always toss ours out to the squirrels after Halloween and I suppose a seed just made it into the garden bed somehow.

It made me start thinking about what other unintentional seeds I may have planted over the years. Seeds of love, and gratitude, but also seeds of distrust and strife. How can I be more intentional with the seeds I plant in my life, while at the same time leaving room for the universe to allow unexpected blessings to pop up where they need to.

It's a balancing act that I don't know if I'll ever master, but maybe mastering it isn't the point at all? Maybe the point is to learn how to flow with the things life throws at you. Maybe there is no point and we are just here to experience it all.
These are the questions rolling around in my brain this morning.

That magical time in March when the sun is hot and the shade is cold! The wind was fierce today, stirring up the energy, bringing spring on its back.
I planted some more early spring seeds, picked up sticks with my dog, and practiced somersaults on the trampoline with my daughter. I haven't done a somersault in over 20 years! And it was hard. I was thinking," Im just too old and too fat to do this" while laying on my back and looking at the clouds above. When I saw a rainbow appear in the clouds! Just a piece of one, I don't exactly know how it formed, it hadn't been raining at all! Just a combination of the sun's angle in the sky and the thin wispy clouds made this perfectly magical moment. It only stayed a minute or two and then was gone.
And then, I did a somersault 🙃

This is what the moon looks like right now in the sky. She is so big and bright and beautiful, it's hard to believe that in just a couple short hours the earth's shadow is going to cover her almost completely in some parts of the world. I wish I could stay up and sit with her and watch her transition from light to dark and back again. It's comforting, in a way, that the darkness is temporary and the light always returns.

The eclipses open portals through which powerful energies of change can come into our lives, whether or not we welcome it. I always try to embrace change, doesn't mean I always succeed, but the effort is there. The Moon pulls and pushes us, just like the tides. I've tried to find a sense of flow in the chaos of life by embracing the moon as a guide post. Expanding and contracting with her every month and tuning into the cycles that come and go with the new and full moons.

The portals are opening, change is available and waiting, the question is, will you step through or dig in your heels?

This morning when I stepped outside to let my dogs out I was greeted with an absolute cacophony of birdsong! Sparrows, Robin's, mourning doves, starlings, and even a few crows in the mix. If felt like a celebration and a foretelling of a beautiful day ahead.
I went to sleep last night filled with so much gratitude for all the support I've gotten from my friends and loved ones on this journey. It's so hard for me to put myself out there and be vulnerable, but when I do and the response is overwhelmingly filled with love, it's so worth it!

Not feeling well today, so I made some lemon and ginger tea in my favorite mug and have spent all day in bed watching some good TV and some not-so-good TV 🙃
This season has been so heavy for so many of us and a friend of mine said the astrology for this weekend is very "stay and home and rest." I got to spend some time outside with my best friend the other day when it nice and warm. This is Lolly, she is 10 years old and last year she lost her rear left leg to cancer. It was absolutely devastating to our family. This dog has been such a light for us, she is an inspiration and incredibly resilient! Everything Lolly does, she does it at 500%! She's always got a ball or rope (or stick) in her mouth. She is always here to play and party! Unless she is sleeping, then she gives the most amazing cuddles 💜
Since losing her leg, she has had to slow down, but not by much! She still brings me a toy at least 6,000 times a day 😆 she jumps, sometimes unsuccessfully, runs, fetches, tugs, barks and lives her life so fully. Lolly has taught me so much about rolling with the punches life brings us.
We can't always avoid loss, pain, or grief, but we do get to choose how we respond when it comes our way. We can stop everything and wallow in misery and heartache, or we can choose to stand up, dust ourselves off and make the most of it. We can't control life, we can only control how we react when life happens.

This morning I woke up surrounded by more snow than I’ve seen since childhood.
It’s absolutely magical!
I love the muted sounds outside. The streets are quiet. I caught a few squirrels out and about, but most of the wildlife is tucked away somewhere, waiting for warmer days.
I find myself filled with gratitude as I sit under a warm blanket, drinking a delicious cup of coffee and surrounded by my family. I know how lucky I am to have a warm home to sit inside and watch the snow continue to fall and the temperatures drop. There is something so special about January. I never used to appreciate it before. The quiet time of the year, when everything slows down and we are left to sit with ourselves and reflect.
The past year was one of major growth and transformation for me. I have spent the last few years of my life learning and letting go. This year, I felt like I was finally able to put into practice the changes I’ve been working toward. My communication skills have improved vastly, I am more comfortable with boundaries, both respecting and implementing them, and I’ve become a better friend, wife, mother, sister, healer, and just, a better human in general. I’m so grateful for the lessons of the year and the break this snowy season has gifted me. The most special things in my life are my time, energy, and love. And I’m allowing myself to be slightly more selfish with them. I’m so grateful for myself today and the love I’m showing myself by asking for what I need and accepting it when it comes.
Thank you, Sara, for taking the absolute best care of me. Thank you for fighting for me, showing up for me, and loving me when I stumble. Thank you for loving me enough to want better for me.
And for any who are reading this, thank you for loving me, but most of all, thank you for loving yourself. After all, through love, anything is possible.

If you know anything about me, you might know my absolute obsession with Boston Terriers 💜💜💜I met Penelope as a nail trim client at my dog grooming business, and I fell head over heels in love with this spunky and confident soul.
A couple of months ago she was in an incident with another dog and the altercation injured her eye beyond repair, the best thing for her was to have the eye removed.
A wonderful thing about dogs is they are so adaptive and resilient. Penelope has adjusted quickly and doesn't seem to have much trouble navigating life much differently than before. Her healing session was one of the best I've had to date, and I'm so very grateful I was able to provide healing and comfort for her.

I am so proud of myself and filled with so much gratitude for my teacher Josh and all the support he has given me over the years we have known each other. When I came to the meditation center a couple of years ago I was looking for community and guidance, I never expected to be where I am today. I feel as though my steps are aligned with purpose in a way they never truly have been before. Having completed the first level of Reiki certification I am more in tune with the energy healing process and I am more connected on a profound level. I am so happy to be here and I am so ready to hit the ground running.
